The festivities got an unofficial kick off yesterday with the “Parade of Graduates” through the Oakland schools. Middle and elementary school students lined their halls to cheer the graduates as they paraded through in their caps and gowns.
The more formal celebrations got underway today with the Senior Last Assembly, where faculty speakers Alan and Keith Derosby gave a funny and heartfelt speech about persevering even when life doesn’t go the way that you expect it to.
The graduation ceremony will take place tonight at 7pm at the Augusta Civic Center. Congratulations class of 2016!
