BCS Running Wild Over New Club

At Belgrade Central School, students have been running wild over the after school club: BCS Running Club.  running-club-1

The BCS Running Club is an exciting opportunity in both the Fall and Spring for 1st-5th grade students to participate after school to improve their running ability.  During the eight to ten sessions of the running club, students will train on hills on the school grounds, participate in plyometric skills, improve their flexibility with stretching and have timed runs.  This is challenging, with grade appropriate expectations for students.  The success of the BCS Running Club is due in large part to the fact that it is after school, affordable, and occurs right on our school campus. Students do not need to travel in order to be a part of this fitness activity. The Messalonskee High School Cross Country and Track Teams volunteer at BCS when available.
