Atwood educators Brynn Charest and Tammy Pullen received a $3000 grant from Maine Ag in the Classroom last night. The grant was presented to them by the Commissioner of Agriculture, Walter Whitcomb, and the National President of Ag in the Classroom, Willie Grenier, at a banquet at the Granary Restaurant in Farmington. The funds will be used to grow Garden Towers in the Atwood Classrooms.
Beth Prelgovisk won an Oak Grove Foundation Grant which will also be used to install Tower Gardens at the high school. A huge thank you goes out to Claire Heffernan for her work writing both of these grants. Congratulations to all.
