Poetry Out Loud Regional Finalist

Congratulations to Messalonskee Junior Hanna Lavenson on her recent victory at the Maine Regional Poetry Out Loud competition. Hanna will be competing in the Poetry Out Loud Maine State Finals on March 11th at the Waterville Opera House (for the second year in a row!). This event is free to the public, so we invite you to attend this competition and cheer her on. If Hanna wins the State Finals, she will be moving on to the National Poetry Out Loud competition in Washington, D.C. where she will compete against 49 other talented students for a grand prize of $20,000 (and $50,000 for our school humanities programs).
