Ticonic Gallery and Studios, a part of Waterville Creates, has a new upcoming opportunity – Teen Clay Club which will take place on Tuesdays at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, 93 Main Street, Waterville. The studio has funding for all programs to be FREE for any youth 18 and younger. To use the fund, a parent or teacher needs to call and reserve the student a spot in the class (207-872-2787); or send Yvonne Brown, the Clay Studio Coordinator and educator, an email of your student’s interest at ybrown@watervillecreates.org.
Teen Clay Club
Ages 13 – 16
Tuesdays beginning January 10 (All dates are January 10, January 31, February 14, Feb 28, March 14, March 28, April 11, and April 25)
3:00 – 5:00pm
This is the studio’s first after school clay club for teens! In this bi-monthly exploration of clay, students will learn wheel throwing, hand building, glazing, surface design, and more! Each young artist will be encouraged to independently find their own unique approach in clay in a supportive environment.
Healthy snacks will be provided.
$30 per class, tools, glaze, firings, and all other materials included. As a reminder, contact the studio or email Ms. Brown to access the funding opportunity.
