Musical review

Messalonskee High School students will be performing favorite selections from their favorite musicals. Many young musicians, members of the esteemed MHS Concert Chorus, will be presenting outstanding performances on the stage of  The Messalonskee High School Performing Arts Center.

The students are responsible for their own costuming and makeup while music director, Kevin Rhein, the originator of the show, coordinates their work with guest accompanist, Gerry Wright. “It is always wonderful to have the students work with my gifted predecessor, Mr. Wright,” said Rhein. “It adds a connection to our high school’s long standing tradition of musical excellence.”

The performers will introduce each other dressed as another character of their choice. This adds an enjoyable vaudevillian dimension to the evening.

Once approved for their performance, each student understands that their moment on the stage is a very special time for sharing their deep love of music. It is the audience’s time to enjoy that passion.

The performance will take place on Friday, January 26th at 7:00 PM. Admission is $5.00. Donations are welcome and will be applied to the cost of the students’ upcoming performances at Disney World.
