Sensory Path Coming to WES

I am happy to announce that Williams Elementary School has been awarded a $416 Let’s Go! Mini-Grant from Northern Light Inland Hospital to support our school’s Let’s Go! Work.

At Williams, we will be creating a sensory path with decals in our school hallways for all grade levels. This sensory path will give students an opportunity to release energy and tension by traveling through a series of physical movements like hopping, skipping, balancing, jumping and stretching while improving their ability to learn.

This year, since students have long instructional mornings, teachers have worked hard to allow movement breaks throughout the day so that students can focus better. The sensory path will help support this goal and allow students more variety in the types of movement breaks they participate in throughout the day.
