China Primary School received a $585 Let’s Go mini-grant to implement the 100 Mile Club for grades 2,3, and 4 at CPS. The 100 Mile Club is a wellness program that encourages non-competitive daily physical activity in a supportive and inclusive environment. Students all work to walk or run 100 miles by the end of the school year.
Physical Education teacher and grant writer Carrie Larabee says they are really excited to kick off this program at CPS. Students will be recognized for their achievement as they hit their milestones of 25, 50, 75, and 100 miles. This program not only encourages a healthy lifestyle but gives students the opportunity to practice goal-setting, perseverance, confidence, and team spirit.
Congratulations, CPS!
