MMS students have been hard at work removing invasive Japanese knotweed as a culminating service project in a two-year monitoring science investigation. Research, data collection, analysis using CODAP, and reporting results engaged students in NEXT GEN science practices while making an impact in our school forest and trails. Five students are also submitting their reports to the GMRI middle school science journal “Findings From the Field” volume 4 to be released next spring.
