Students in Mrs. Dugan’s 7th grade math classes have been competing in various math competitions throughout the school year. These games are a great way for both remote and in person students to compete against each other. This month they have been playing the Mangahigh game: “Ice Ice Maybe”. In this game students work on their estimation skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage of a number, and fraction of a number. To play students have to use their estimation and approximation skills to correctly position icebergs to help penguins bounce safely from glacier to glacier to cross the icy sea. Look out for the ever-hungry killer whales!
