The China Middle School ‘Enterprise Group’ has been working hard on life skills and having fun with learning new things. The students started the year by making custom lanyards for CPS and CMS which involved lots of patience and fine motor skills with beading. Also, they learned how to tie-dye and iron while making GROOVY face masks!
These products are both for sale ($3.00 for the lanyards and $5.00 for the masks). The proceeds go back to the program, which teaches prevocational skills, with the students earning ‘pay’ based on their performance and shopping in their Enterprise Store.
Upcoming projects include making healthy dog treats and holiday crafts to sell. The group is co-taught by Mrs. Childs (SLP), Renee Callahan (OT), and Kate Benson (PT).
