How Many Seeds in a Pumpkin?

Fifth graders at JHB participated in Pumpkin Math during the last week of October. They applied their estimation, scooping, sorting, and tallying skills to figure out how many seeds their pumpkins contained. After cleaning up, they then discussed their observations and analyzed their class’ complete set of data. Both classes were surprised to find that the smallest pumpkins in the group did not have the least number of seeds!
