Team Dirigo students took part in a mock trial using textual evidence from W.W. Jacobs’ “The Monkey’s Paw” to put Mr. White on trial for the death of his son. They worked as teams, combined of both in person and remote students, to play the jury, prosecution, or defense.
Three of the trials found Mr. White innocent due to reasonable doubt. However, one class found him guilty and sentenced him to 10 years without the possibility of parole. Students were engaged throughout the process. Great job, possible future lawyers!
