On November 20th, 2020, Alissa Wade, a public health hygienist, came to Atwood Primary to give our children dental services.
All students are welcome to sign up for both fall and spring services. Dental services offered are dental cleanings, fluoride varnish treatments, sealants, temporary protective restorations and oral hygiene instructions and assessments. Alissa is self contained with all supplies prepared and packaged for each child. She also has an assistant that helps bring the children to and from their classrooms.
At the end of their visit, students are given a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a special toy. Every child is sent home with a dental report card explaining everything that was completed along with recommendations.
