CMS Shares Cheer with Long Term Care

China Middle School 5th & 6th graders spread holiday cheer to residents, nurses, and staff at Gray Birch Rehabilitation & Long Term Care in Augusta. Students made holiday cards to let the residents know that they were not alone and that they were thinking of them during this hard time.

They also thanked nurses, management, dietary, cleaning, and therapy staff for their hard work taking care of the residents. Many students remarked how much fun it was to spread kindness and gratitude to others and that it made them feel happy too.

“We wanted to make cards to make them happy and spread joy,” said 5th grader Amelia.

“I wanted to make a card for the elderly to make them happy because they can’t see their family,” said Bella (Grade 5).
