The Kindergarten students were the recipients of a generous donation given in the memory of a former Kindergarten teacher at James H. Bean, Laurette Ayotte.
Mrs. Ayotte was a teacher who valued education and spent her educational career in Kindergarten. She loved the age and loved the children. Though she was widowed at age 45 and had 12 children to raise, she would often spend her evenings knitting hats and mittens for her students that needed them.
We hope that she would have loved seeing the happy eyes and the smiles beneath the masks when the students got to explore their new STEM toys.
