WES Winter Ecology in Acadia National Park

During the month of April, students had the opportunity to participate in another virtual field trip. Students in grades 3 and 4 learned about the winter ecology in Acadia National Park. Here is the blurb from the ANP newsletter…Freeze, stay, or go away. We focused on the strategies of hibernation, tolerance, and migration that Acadia’s animals use to survive Maine’s winters. It was very interesting learning about the winter ecology of Acadia and learning about some of the amazing animals who adapt to this challenging season! Many students enjoyed this presentation.
