Last fall in science class, Mrs. Ripa had 4 students submit their essays on the two year Japanese knotweed study to be reviewed for the Gulf of Maine Research Institute’s journal “Findings from the Field.”
Brynne Barron’s essay was accepted! She worked hard to meet the rigorous scientific writing standards and requirements set forth by GMRI in order for her essay, “Japanese Knotweed Population Growth from 2019 to 2020 in Oakland, Maine” to be accepted.
“She went above and beyond what I asked of her,” said Mrs. Ripa, “and now her work will be published in the next volume!”
Congrats, Brynne! Her article should be published on the Findings website in June in Volume 4.
