Last Wednesday, Laura Tracy, chairperson of the school board, presented Hero Awards to Superintendent Gartley and Assistant Superintendent Keith Morin for keeping our schools safely open to children throughout the school year in incredibly challenging circumstances.
Both men were presented with plaques which read:
Presented in recognition of your extraordinary commitment to our students, faculty, and staff’s safety, and your equally exceptional commitment to academic excellence during the COVID crisis. In the face of significant obstacles and challenges, you and the RSU 18 team successfully implemented full time, 5 days a week, in-school learning coupled with exemplary on-line remote learning support when needed. This year of learning will be an enduring lifetime asset for our students.
On behalf of the RSU 18 students, please accept a huge thank you from the School Board.
Thank you to all RSU 18 staff, students, and parents, for a successful year in extraordinary circumstances.
