Members of Sidney Girl Scout Troop 1785, who are now juniors at Messalonskee High School, spent a few steamy August mornings sprucing up part of their former elementary school’s playground. JHB Dragons were SUPER excited to return to freshly painted basketball courts, four-square, hopscotch, and copycat activities on their playground’s pavement. After hearing about Mrs. St. Peters’ weekly “Rise and Shine” whole-school assemblies, the girls decided to also add a giant sun to greet JHB students and remind them to “RISE and SHINE” each and every day!
