Messalonskee Middle School’s Team Dirigo did a great job recording podcasts about various activists they’ve recently researched in class. Students listened to clips from professional podcasts for inspiration while they conducted their research about their chosen person. Using their notes, they created a script and a plan for their podcast. They used the Garageband app to record the audio both in school and at home. Then they added introductions with music, sound clips from their activists, and sometimes even sound effects to keep the listeners’ attention. Finally, they exported these student-created podcasts to a Google site along with show notes for other students on the team to listen to and give feedback on their finished product. #WeAreRSU18
