Atwood Primary School’s preschool classes have been learning all about our planet in honor of Earth Day on April 22nd. The children learned so much with this theme! Through read alouds and various small group activities, they found out the Earth is made up of land and water. Through exploratory play, the students were exposed to maps, globes, and puzzles of our world. Both morning and afternoon Pre-K sessions created art projects of our world. Finally, these young learners found out how they can help the Earth (such as recycling, saving water, reusing items, not littering, and picking up trash).
