In PE class at Belgrade Central, all preschool through fifth grade students participated in an activity called Crossing the Kennebec. The game included riding scooter boats to the docks before leaping over the river on river rocks and hopping on river stones to save the sea creatures from being trapped by the swollen waters of the Kennebec River! After saving the creatures, the students could climb the sea wall, walk through a sea tunnel, or travel above or below the tree branches hanging over the river. It was a tremendous jumping, leaping, and climbing activity for all grades! #WeAreRSU18
