Meet Assistant Superintendent Keith Morin

Meet Keith Morin, Assistant Superintendent and Chief Academic Officer of RSU 18!

What jobs have you had before becoming an administrator? I was a social studies teacher in Fairfield, assistant principal of Winthrop Middle School and High School, principal of Winthrop High School, and now I am beginning my sixth year in my current position.

What are you most excited about for this upcoming year? Every year is exciting with new and familiar faces. I continue to look forward to watching our staff welcome new members, both staff and students, to our RSU 18 family. Our goal continues to be embedded in building meaningful relationships, which I am most proud of and excited about.

What do you like to do in your spare time? I love to hike, golf, or be anywhere near the many lakes and mountains in Maine.

What’s your favorite meal? I love food, so there are few things that I dislike. I am a fan of ice cream and could certainly make a meal out of it if I had to.

What would your students be surprised to find out about you? I have a cat that was given to me ten years ago and remains nameless.

If you could live anywhere, where would it be? That is a great question. The great thing about traveling to a new place is appreciating how different it is from home. I haven’t discovered where I would rather be for any great length of time, BUT when and if I do… well, I will plan to be there.

What’s your favorite thing to study? I love history and current events.

What is your coffee order? Black coffee and lots of it.
