In honor of the 21st anniversary of September 11th, Ms. Lanteigne, of China Middle School, and her students are hosting a free car wash for first responders, fire fighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, and veterans!
The event will be held at China Middle School during school hours on Friday, September 9th, 2022. They will be welcoming ALL police officers, cruisers, EMTs, paramedics, ambulances, and fire trucks to bring their work vehicles to the school. The 7th and 8th graders will wash them for free. In addition, any veteran or active duty military who shows up to the school will get their personal vehicle washed for free! In recognition of one of the worst days in our nation’s history, Ms. Lanteigne hopes to teach her students how to give back to those who have given so much to us and who keep us safe every day.
Any community members interested in donating to this special service learning project, please email Aimee Lanteigne at alanteigne@rsu18.org. She is looking for donations of baked goods, and donations/loans of buckets, sponges, and soap.
