Ms. Lanteigne’s seventh grade ELA class at China Middle School joined forces with Miss Lauren, Miss Brittany, and Miss Amy at China Primary School this month. The seventh graders helped the kindergarteners write letters to Santa. The big kids helped the children sound out words, make capital letters, put spaces between their words, and add periods at the end of their sentences. The teenagers loved seeing their old school and their old teachers. The five-year olds showed everyone how much they have already learned in their few short months of formal schooling. It was a heart-warming experience for all. The middle schoolers will be going back this February to help the kindergartners make Valentine’s Day cards for their moms and dads!
