Mr. Schmidt’s Algebra I class was able to do one of Mr. Schmidt’s favorite projects last month – The Barbie Bungee Project. The goal of this project is to use line of best fit to predict how long our bungee cord needs to be to have the most extreme bungee experience possible. After watching a video about “extreme” bungee events all over the world, the students start making their own extreme bungee cords. Students then create their lines of best fit in a variety of forms and answer questions about how they could use these types of skills in the real world!
