In Mrs. Gosselin’s class, we have been doing lots of hands-on learning with STEM challenges, Halloween STEAM activities, and sensory play. The students were given gummy bears and toothpicks and were asked to make a structure. Some of the students figured out how to make 3-D structures all on their own.
For another STEM challenge, students were given straws, clothespins, and candy pumpkins. They were asked to make a fence to hold five little pumpkins. With lots of planning, constructing, and reflecting, all students were able to complete the task!
On Halloween, we matched ten frames to their corresponding number using a fun and engaging sensory bin filled with ORBEEZ. Kindergarteners are learning so much and having tons of fun.
