Kind Coins for Mexico

Ms. Amanda Cotter’s class is the winning class in the “Kind Coins for Mexico” Contest. They raised $57.62. The grand total raised by our school is $292.55.

This wonderful unifying service project was part of the week-long Great Kindness Challenge at Williams Elementary. In the week leading up to February break, students and their families were encouraged to complete random acts of kindness, students posed for photos in the “I Love Kindness” photo booth and the “Be the  “I” in Kind” display, and students also participated in a random lunch seating day with the goal of interacting with new groups of students at lunch.

The proceeds from the coin collection project will go to help build a new school and friendship center in Mexico. As the winner of our coin collection competition, Ms. Cotter’s class will receive an extra PE class with Mr. Engleright. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
