Leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, bus driver Cory Alexander, Bus 149, held a food drive with the Belgrade Central School students he transports. To encourage the spirit of giving, he decided to launch a little challenge: Whoever brought in items would have their name put into a drawing, and the person whose name was drawn would get to choose which color Mr. Alexander dyed his hair!
The students responded quite enthusiastically and together they collected 178 items. Principal Bacon drew the name on the Friday before break and the happy winner was first grader Liam Gavett. He decided that Mr. Alexander’s hair should be dyed blue and Mr. Alexander did not disappoint!
Thank you, Mr. Alexander, for your willingness to do this challenge with our students!
