Both museums have uploaded a tremendous amount of their art since the beginning of the pandemic. Many of the masterpieces can even be downloaded. According to Smithsonian Magazine, “allowing the public to download and transform images enables patrons to interact more fully with museum artifacts, making them participants in the creation of cultural history.”
