Tuesday Me-Time 3/30/2021: Gear Up for an Active April!

While March isn’t entirely going out like a lamb, it is starting to feel much more like spring.  Flowers are starting to sprout, buds are starting to swell, and the sun seems to be carrying a bit more warmth with it.

To us, April always feels like a great time to get moving, so this week we’re focusing on helping you have an “Active April.”

To start you off,  check out this great daily calendar from actionforhappiness.org.

“This month we’re encouraging you to get active, get outdoors and take care of your body!  Let’s reap the benefits of getting our bodies moving and breathing more deeply as a result of exercising, laughing and even singing! We don’t all need to run marathons – there are simple things we can all do to take care of our bodies – for example unplugging from technology, getting outside and – importantly – making sure we get enough sleep!”

Want to help your kids develop some healthy practices and challenge themselves? Try this Spring Fling Fitness Calendar from Monthly Fitness Challenges – Keeping Kids in Motion. This simple workout calendar encourages working on personal stamina through a few simple exercises.

Being active isn’t just about fitness. Over the past year, many of us have started setting new  goals within our careers or personal lives. Goals are wonderful to have, but they can become overwhelming if you don’t break them down into action steps that you can work on accomplishing. Indeed.com has some great resources on How To Write an Action Plan To Achieve Your Goals.
