100 Mile Club at CPS

    By: Lori Maxim

The 100 Mile Club model was adopted at CPS last year, and thankfully students have been able to continue walking/running again this year. Thank you to our amazing PE teacher, Mrs. Larrabee for getting this program started, and for continuing to recognize students who participate.

The mission of the 100 mile club is to engage and empower students to achieve a healthy lifestyle through physical activity. Students complete their miles during PE class, and on their own at recess.

Team Maxim has had some awesome achievements recognized recently for the 100 Mile Club! The top achievers are pictured above  (left to right). Brookelyn Finley (81 miles), Roxie Stephenson (93 miles), Mackenzie Bowler (55 miles), Anthony Gagnon (50 miles), and Joey Shaw (44 miles).  Morgan Buswell, was not in the photo, but has walked (90 miles)!  Way to go, kids!  Keep up the good work. 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽
