In ELA last month, 7th graders were split into groups to read two different realistic fiction novels. After finishing the novels, they created Instagram profiles for three characters from the book. The student’s loved this project and did a great job putting themselves into the characters’ shoes; thinking about what they would post if they were that character. It was wonderful to see their thinking go beyond the reading and be applied to something that they are familiar with!
