Growth Mindset at BCS

Mrs. Dunbar’s class has been learning about the importance of having a growth mindset when learning new things. They have been reading many books about growth mindset but their favorite book was Your Fantastic Elastic Brain. After reading Your Fantastic Elastic Brain, the students made a large poster of the brain that showed ways to help create connections in the brain. One Friday afternoon, the students practiced using growth mindset during a marshmallow and toothpick tower challenge. The students worked in pairs to design and create the tallest tower using limited resources. Every team had to stay positive as well as “check and adjust” their plan to be successful. Here are some pictures of the action!
