Williams Elementary School participated in the annual worldwide Great Kindness Challenge from January 25 – January 28. This is Williams’ third year participating in this special week. Activities included a spirit week with students and staff completing random acts of kindness that were posted on hearts in the school lobby! Staff and students tapped into their artistic sides and created a Great Kindness Chalk Wall. A food drive was held for their local Oakland Food Pantry and the week wrapped up with a special kindness door decorating contest. Maya Angelou said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Always be kind.

WES had a tie for the door contest! Ms. Kinney and Miss Davis’ classrooms were the winners! Congratulations to Miss Davis, Ms. Kinney, and their students. The winning classrooms will be awarded extra recess!
