Shhh… don’t wake the bear! Mrs. Dunn’s Kinder Kiddos recently discovered the land of slumber while exploring hibernation! They learned about the places that hibernating animals rest during the winter. The most well-known hibernating animal was the bear. The class’ STEM challenge of the week was to create a cozy den for their furry friend to hibernate in during the frigid winter months. Children were challenged to build a den using toothpicks and mini marshmallows. Through exploration, students were met with challenges and forced to find ways to persevere. Mrs. Dunn shares, “It was great to see the unique ways students chose to execute their STEM challenge.” #WeAreRSU18
