Ballroom Thieves Educational Experience

Messalonskee High School music students received a music composition lesson from professional performers who are members of the band, Ballroom Thieves, on Friday, May 13th. Students learned about the music composing process and how personal experiences can shape the songwriting process. Advice was dispensed about pursuing a career in different areas of music in addition to performance. Later in the day, the entire student body at MHS attended a concert by the Ballroom Thieves. Thanks goes out to the music department for arranging this opportunity for the students and to both the Oak Grove School Foundation and the National Education Association for providing the funding for this day. #WeAreRSU18
