At Belgrade Central, Mrs. Dunbar’s class has been working on building routines and procedures in their classroom. One important classroom norm they’ve been practicing is working with a partner. Together, the class created an anchor chart for expectations when working with a partner or group. Students have also been participating in team building activities to practice using these expectations. Recently, the class worked together during “The Great Cup Pyramid Challenge.” Teams of three and four students worked together to stack cups in the form of a pyramid. Sounds easy, right? The caveat was that each student could only use one finger!
