In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15th-October 15th), Mrs. Dunbar’s class partnered with the Belgrade Public Library to read Emily’s Blue Period by Cathleen Daly. The story was read to the class by Mrs. Kim Dawes. After reading about how Emily uses art to cope with a sad time during her life, students learned about Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. The students then created artwork inspired by Pablo Picasso. Thank you, Mrs. Dawes for help with this fun project!
