Imaginative Play to Strengthen Skills

In Mrs. Robie’s preschool classroom at China Primary School, young learners have been practicing their fine motor skills by pouring water at a sensory table, finger painting yellow stars, and stamping colored leaves on trees. While children pretended to be firefighters, they worked on strengthening their hands by squeezing a water bottle “hose” to put out pretend fires!

After reading the classic story, Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear by Don and Audrey Wood, preschoolers painted strawberries using strawberry scented paint! Then the class made “disguises” – just like mouse’s disguise in the book!

Thank you, Mrs. Robie, for truly making learning come to life for our youngest learners!
