Penguins, Snow, and So Much More

Atwood Primary School first graders in Miss Mercier’s class have spent the last few weeks playing in the snow, learning about penguins, and finishing up their holiday celebrations together. With new snow outside, they are continuing to try to “beat the clock” to maximize outdoor playtime. To finish up their “expert” writing unit, children spent time learning through books and videos. After all of their research, students created a nonfiction book with everything they learned about penguins. On the last day of school before the holiday break, Mr. Perks put together a holiday celebration movie. In this movie, students were able to watch the adults in their building as characters from classic holiday stories. So many sweet memories were made together! #WeAreRSU18 #AtwoodAwesome
