Kindergarteners at the James H. Bean School have been knee deep in polar region studies as well as nonfiction writing. Students have been exploring unique adaptations that help animals survive in the extreme cold weather. They’ve also been learning about the differences between facts and opinions as they write informational books on polar bears. Their nonfiction books have included facts about the animal and diagrams of the polar bear’s body. The nonfiction authors have also created colored maps to show where polar bears live and pictures that depict what the arctic region looks like geographically. #WeAreRSU18 #JHBdragons
