It’s vacation week! Hopefully this post finds you happy, healthy, and shifting gradually into relaxation mode. Here are a few tips, tricks, and reminders to help you unwind and take care of yourself this week!

‘Throw Out the Rulebook’ To Get Through Pandemic Holidays, A Therapist Says.

“Even if you know, intellectually, that the holidays are not actually “the most wonderful time of the year” (and can, in fact, be incredibly stressful), coping with feelings of loneliness, guilt, anger, and despair during the month of December can be very challenging. And thanks to the ongoing pandemic, a lot of people are feeling bad right now.”  This podcast and article give some great tips on ways to deal with everything this holiday season brings with it. 

Take Care of Yourself This Winter.   If you haven’t watched this video that has been floating around on social media, take a couple of minutes to check it out…maybe get some tissues first.

Finally, here’s a quick and easy self care recipe for hands chapped from all the thorough washing. It also makes a great last minute gift if you need one. 

Sugar Scrub Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar, either white or brown.
  • ½ cup oil (either olive, almond, or coconut oil work great)
  • 7-10 drops of essential oil (optional)

Mix all ingredients and store in a small mason jar. Use as needed on dry skin.
