Lots of JHB students were hard at work before the break, finding ways to spread holiday cheer to members of our community.
First graders in Miss Poulin’s class made holiday/Christmas cards for patients and staff at the Gray Birch Rehab and Long Term Care Facility in Augusta. Students wrote the cards for patients to cheer them up during this time when they cannot be with their families or friends and for staff working twice as hard to provide care for all of their patients!
The 3rd graders in Mrs. Erskine’s and Mrs. Dutil’s classes practiced their letter writing skills and wrote to neighbors at Bella Point. These residents have not been able to visit with family members as they normally do due to Covid-19, so these students created some festive cards to help them celebrate the holiday season. We hope the cards bring many smiles to their faces.
Fifth graders in Miss Hutchinson’s and Mrs. Hopper’s classes also sent a little hand-crafted holiday cheer to our Sidney neighbors. Students created special ornaments for each of the 22 Bella Point Assisted Living Facility residents.
