Classroom Community

China Middle School students in Ms. Chamberlain’s ELA classes have been focusing on building a positive classroom community. This process involves getting to know each other and creating a vision to achieve each and every day in their classroom. In addition to their class vision, each student was prompted to choose a word that they hoped would represent this upcoming school year. Some students wanted to “believe” in themselves more this year. Some wanted to practice “kindness” or try to be more “helpful.” Others wanted to work on “trust” and “balance.” These words will be a guide for them as they navigate their 6th grade year.
